A candid smartphone mirror selfie of a young woman sitting cross-legged on a glossy honey-toned hardwood floor in a dreamy lavender bedroom. She holds her phone up beside her face with one hand, the screen facing the mirror, and gives a playful, slightly pouty expression with her lips parted. Her dark shoulder-length hair falls from under a pale lilac cotton bucket hat. She wears small rimless sunglasses with rose-tinted lenses perched low, and two delicate layered silver chain necklaces, one with a tiny pendant. She wears a huge, faded lavender vintage-wash oversized T-shirt with a soft cracked screen print: a dreamy violet-and-blue painted sunset over rolling hills, with the words "Violet Hour" in loose purple brush script across the chest. She also wears baggy off-white jogger sweatpants gathered at the ankles and chunky white platform sneakers with loose untied laces. Her other hand rests on her knee. Her phone case shows two classical Renaissance-style cherubs leaning on their arms.
Behind her, a neatly made bed with a white textured quilt, a soft grey knit throw and a pile of pillows, including a fluffy round pink pom-pom pillow and a grey faux-fur cushion. A window with white blinds glows with bright overcast daylight. To the right, a chrome rolling clothing rack is packed with hanging tops and blouses in cream, grey, rust and dusty pink, with a neat row of sneakers and ankle boots on its bottom shelf. On the left edge, a tall white wardrobe is hand-painted with bold abstract blue and mustard-yellow flowers. At the far right, a small pale green gingham-patterned hamper. A thin black cable snakes across the floor in the foreground.
A strip of glowing purple LED lights runs along the angled ceiling and crown molding, casting a saturated violet glow across the pale lavender walls and ceiling and reflecting as a smeary purple sheen on the floor. Shot on an older phone in a dim room: visible high-ISO digital noise and coarse film-like grain over the whole image, especially in the shadows; slightly soft focus; a faint motion blur on the raised hand; the window blown out and overexposed with soft halation bleeding into the blinds. Faded, matte color grade with milky lifted blacks, crushed highlights, muted pastel tones and a heavy lavender-magenta cast, like a lo-fi indie Tumblr or Pinterest photo that has been saved and reposted a few times. Mild compression softness, imperfect white balance, slightly crooked casual framing. Candid, unpolished, nostalgic, intimate bedroom-snapshot mood.
