Two young men stand waist-deep in water, leaning against the weathered wooden hull of a boat on the right. The drenched, bare-shouldered man in the rear tightly wraps his arms around the chest of the man in front, his face showing intense physical strain. The foreground man is fully clothed in a soaking wet plaid shirt and dark trousers, his head slumped forward and dark hair plastered to his forehead. His hand rests limply against the rough wooden planks. The medium close-up is captured in high-contrast black and white photography, emphasizing the gleaming wet textures of their clothing and the shimmering surface of the water. Behind them, a stark, rocky shoreline features a solitary tree silhouetted on a distant hill under a bright sky, illuminated by harsh natural daylight.
